Our church motto, “Service Beyond Self” applies to all of us. “And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:44-45). In Luke 22:27, in the context of the Last Supper, Jesus says, “I am among you as one who serves.” As Jesus exhorted the disciples to follow his example so Paul says in Gal. 5:13, “By love serve one another.”
